The Sonic GABL Golf Classic presented by SumnerOne benefits programs of the GABL Youth Sports Foundation. The tournament began in 1998 to raise funds to establish a scholarship program for families who needed assistance in order for their children to play in the Great American Basketball League. The scholarship program was launched in 2000-01 and has provided more than $155,000 in scholarships in 21 years. Proceeds from the golf classic continue to support this program.
